Hickory Hardware Named "Category Captain" of Decorative Hardware for The Home Depot's New Design Center Stores
Company featured prominently in new upscale, showroom-style stores
(NASHVILLE, Tenn., USA: Nov. 8, 2007) Hickory Hardware (www.hickoryhardware.com),
North America's leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of decorative,
functional and industrial hardware, has been named "category
captain" of decorative hardware for The Home Depot®'s new
Design Center pilot stores. The Home Depot Design Centers are located
in Charlotte, N.C. and Concord, Calif., and feature a showroom layout
with upscale furnishings and fixtures.
As
category captain, Hickory Hardware designed and installed 80 feet
of cabinet hardware displays using its Gallery Merchandiser design.
Hickory Hardware products comprise 24 feet of the display unit and
the remaining space features other manufacturers' products.
The Home Depot the world's largest home improvement retailer
also contracted Hickory Hardware to design and manufacture
new special order display boards for its Design Center stores. The
new display boards feature the products on the front of a board
that is mounted on a spinning bracket. Information and details for
each product can be found on the reverse side. The display contains
a total of 57 special order boards, including 18 that showcase Hickory
Hardware products.
In addition, Hickory Hardware is featured in each Design Center's
door hardware department, with 16 feet of merchandising space displaying
its Designer Collection door hardware.
